What we believe

What we hold to.

These are the beliefs the church is built on. Christians have held them for centuries, all over the world.

They shape what we teach on a Sunday, how we pray, and how we care for one another through the week.

Our beliefs

Our statement of faith

Each belief comes with the Scripture it rests on.

Revelation 21:4

The Return of Christ

We believe Jesus will return to make all things new, and that death and injustice will not have the last word. That hope shapes how we wait.

Matthew 28:19

Baptism & Communion

We practice baptism as a public declaration of a life given to Jesus, and communion as a regular remembrance of his body and blood. Both are gifts that make grace visible.

1 Corinthians 12:12

The Church

We believe the church is the gathered people of God, sent to love one another and the world. It is not a building and never was.

Ephesians 2:8-9

Salvation

We believe salvation is a gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus and never earned. No one is too far gone, and no one is good enough on their own. The door is open to everyone.

John 14:16-17

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit lives in everyone who follows Jesus. He comforts, convicts, and empowers us, and he is the reason the Christian life is possible at all.

John 1:14

Jesus

We believe Jesus is fully God and fully human. He lived the life we could not, died the death we deserved, and rose again, defeating sin and death for good.

Deuteronomy 6:4

God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is holy, loving, and personal, and he made us to know him.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

Scripture

We believe the Bible is the inspired and trustworthy word of God, and our final authority for what we believe and how we live.

Where this comes from

We did not invent these beliefs. The church has confessed them since the beginning, and we hold them gladly.
